How much does it cost to send a letter in Switzerland?

The table below shows the cost per letter at SwissDocs24 – for one page in grayscale, including printing, enveloping and postage. You upload your document, choose the shipping method and pay directly – no password.

On 6 August 2026 Swiss Post and the Price Supervisor agreed new letter tariffs. From 1 January 2027 a standard-format A-Post letter costs CHF 1.40 instead of CHF 1.20 and a B-Post letter CHF 1.10 instead of CHF 1.00. Add-on services such as A-Post Plus and registered mail rise by 20 centimes. The agreement runs until the end of 2029.

Those amounts are Swiss Post's postage rates for a letter you frank yourself. The SwissDocs24 prices above already include printing, envelope and postage; the price that applies to your item is always shown before payment.

The “from” prices are for one page. Each additional page costs +CHF 0.20 in grayscale or +CHF 0.35 in colour. In colour the surcharge also applies to the first page. The exact cost depends on the page count and colour option and is shown before payment.

In a bulk send (several letters at once) a progressive volume discount is added on top, growing with the number of letters.

B-Post is the cheapest option and suits non-urgent mail. A-Post is faster and usually delivered the next working day. A-Post Plus additionally offers tracking.

Registered mail is recommended for important or time-critical letters such as cancellations, because you get proof of posting and the item is handed over against signature.
