Post a registered letter online without going to the counter: upload your document, we print and envelope it and hand it to Swiss Post as registered mail with tracking. It costs from CHF 8.99 per item – no password and no subscription. Registered mail is recommended when you want proof of sending, for example for a cancellation.

Example: 3 pages in colour by A-Post = CHF 2.99 + 2 × 0.20 + 3 × 0.15 = CHF 3.84.
For PDF uploads we add a page with the recipient’s address in front. It counts as a page: a 1-page PDF costs the same as a 2-page letter.

What is registered mail (Einschreiben)?
Registered mail is a Swiss Post shipping type where the item is delivered only against a confirmation of receipt – depending on the recipient by signature, electronically or with a delivery authorisation – and tracked along the way.
When is registered mail useful?
When you want proof of sending – for example for a cancellation or a time-critical letter. It is a recommendation, not a legal obligation; check your contract’s requirements.
Do I get tracking?
Yes. After hand-over to Swiss Post you receive an item number for Track & Trace.
Do I need an account?
There is no sign-up form and no password: you just confirm your email address with a one-time code and pay directly.
Do I keep proof of my registered letter?
Yes. The sent PDF stays available unchanged in your order overview – exactly as it was printed – together with the delivery status.
How much does registered mail cost?
From CHF 8.99 per item, including printing, envelope and postage. Each additional page costs CHF 0.20; colour printing costs CHF 0.15 more per page. You see the exact final price before you pay.
Can I send a PDF as registered mail?
Yes. You upload your PDF (A4, up to 119 pages, max. 7.5 MB) and select “registered” during the flow.
What happens if the recipient does not collect it?
Uncollected registered items are handled according to Swiss Post’s terms. Whether and when an item counts as delivered depends on the individual case; this is not legal advice.
Do I get a return receipt or a copy of the signature?
No. Swiss Post delivers registered mail only against a confirmation of receipt and records the delivery with date and time in the tracking history. We do not offer a return-receipt card sent back to you by post, and you do not receive a copy of the recipient’s signature. Your proof is the tracking record of posting and delivery, together with the sent PDF, which stays unchanged in your order overview.
Can I use A-Post Plus instead of registered mail?
Yes. A-Post Plus (from CHF 5.49) also offers tracking, but it is delivered to the letterbox without a confirmation of receipt. Registered mail is the stronger proof.
